Dialogue and Policy Influence for rural upliftment
In pursuance with its mission to create sustainable livelihoods in large numbers, DA increasingly engages in dialogue and works towards influencing policy decisions in favour of millions of rural poor. DA is Community-centric. It involves the community in the process of identifying challenges and finding solutions, thus making the solutions more effective. DA also facilitates dialogue between the community and decision makers for sustainable development, to facilitate decision-making and for multiplication and replication of good practice
Additionally, DA spreads awareness on the micro-level concerns of millions of small holders, rural entrepreneurs, villagers and rural workers and the connection between macro-level policies and programmes. It does this through action research and through partnerships and participatory processes.
DA uses Dialogue and Advocacy for creating communities and sharing of experiences and knowledge.
