The Innovation Systems Branch (ISB) plays a key role in achieving the organisational goals through action research. The branch designs, develops and adopts environmentally sound and appropriate technologies, targeting large-scale rural application.
Working in line with the vision and mission of DA, ISB’s innovations contribute to social equity, economic efficiency and environmental quality, while fulfilling basic needs and creating a large number of sustainable livelihoods.
