Job Description :

  • Provide support for developing the C4D strategy for programme and projects being undertaken by the domain
  • Manage, facilitate and implement social and behaviour change communication campaigns focussed on a range of issues i.e. environment, climate change, WASH, risk reduction, environment, youth, health, education etc.
  • Support quality, effective and efficient delivery of C4D programme activities i.e. CLEAN – India and Shubh Kal.
  • Build strong partnerships with communities (PRIs/ SHGs/ schools/colleges) local leaders, stakeholders in the government and civil society space to influence positive social and behaviour change.
  • Promote and influence positive behaviour change at individual, community and social levels by increased community participation in social and development programmes.
  • Ensure culturally-relevant and quality communication products and tools (include radio programmes, video modules, comics, wall-posters, wall-magazines, mobile apps/ games, IVR, street theatre etc) are developed in a timely manner and pre-tested among target groups.
  • Develop toolkits, training materials and conduct participatory training on issues mentioned above.
  • Coordination, guidance and assistance to the field teams implementing C4D programmes in the intervention states.
  • Provide technical support to the government and NGO counterparts in the development and effective use of communication for social development.
  • Ensure regular monitoring and evaluation of programme activities including conduct formative studies, KAP surveys for baseline and endline evaluation, most-significant change (MSC) stories, documentation of key learnings, best practices, policy briefs etc.
  • Develop new ideas, concept notes, proposals and budgets for fundraising, strategic partnerships and portfolio development.
  • Develop project plans, track project progress, budget utilisation and resource allocation.
  • Any other tasks/ responsibilities assigned by the Line Manager/ Reporting Manager.

Desirable Attributes :

  • Editing and recording audio creative content. Understanding of C4D sector, theories and practices, social and behaviour change communication, participatory planning, mainstream and alternate media including community radio and multimedia, and formative research.
  • Knowledge about communication interventions in the area of environment, climate change, WASH, disaster risk reduction, health and related disciplines. Good written and verbal skills in English and Hindi.

Involvement in the implementation or preparation of climate change projects preferable. Good understanding of climate change adaptation and sustainable development issues.  Be knowledgeable about vulnerability and adaptation (V&A) issues. Experiences in project management. 

Education Qualification:- Postgraduate in Environmental Management / Environmental Sustainability/ Forest Management / Climate Science & Policy / Earth sciences. Sound Knowledge about natural resource management & Climate Change related subjects. Proficiency in GIS will be considered favorably.


Job Description:-

  • Research and execution of natural resource management / climate change/ green economy related projects.
  • Business development to build natural resource managemnet / green economy portfolio.
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Desirable Attributes:-

  • Experienced in networking with various stakeholders. Experience of working with state departments and ministries would be preferable.
