Vision/Mission of the Group Human activities like burning of fossil fuels, deforestation and land use changes and agricultural and industrial activities are resulting in emission of gases in the earth’s atmosphere which trap the outgoing terrestrial radiation and in turn raise the surface temperature of the earth.This phenomenon known as greenhouse effect has many consequences like depletion of ozone layer, sea level rise, climate change and consequent impacts on the ecosystem and socio-economic activities. |
