This
programme area consists primarily of the HANDMADE paper
unit at TARAgram,
the Handicrafts training including value added paper
products and the fibres based products.
 Over
the years, focus has been on productionising the units,
training and imparting basic skills, education and confidence building.
The efforts are also on, encouraging self managed units to stress on quality and
productivity leading them into group enterprises. Concepts like the Artisan guilds,
Societies for the handicrafts, etc are areas of Institutional innovation that will be
the focus of the coming years.
