The audio-visual wing of the unit has the requisite creative and technical expertise to produce Films, Multi-media presentations and Slide Shows. This service is provided to
in-house clients as well as external clients. Organizing conferences, right
from the local to the global ( or international) level has become the
expertise of the communication unit, due to the intense and regular exposure
to conferences, seminars and workshops round the year. The unit is adept at
building up a communication bridge with the delegates/participants long
before the event to keep them posted about the progress of the event and
facilitate the entire process. It organizes hotel bookings, local travel,
ticketing and even minute aspects like the right food and all other
arrangements. At times, it prepares all the content documents including the
entire conference kit, even moderates the seminar and documents it. The unit has taken the
responsibility of publishing the in-house journals, brochures, annual
reports and other corporate publications on a regular basis. Apart from the
internal journals like the monthly DA Newsletter and the quarterly
vernacular magazine - Vikas Vikalp, Communication Unit also edits, formats,
and publishes the monthly newsletter of the Ministry of Environment and
Forests, titled – ENVIRONEWS. The Unit also offers its services in group management processes and in meeting management for better communication and participation. It also has trained personnel for conducting training courses on techniques like Moderation and ZOPP. MEDIA COVERAGE It is a difficult task to get your event covered by the Press. You may get hold of a number of journalists to cover the event but there may not be anything ‘news-worthy’, according to them. Or, it may not be a good copy. The Unit keeps the media informed about the various campaigns and events organized by DA. The Unit prepares the press releases to facilitate the journalists in breaking down the complex subject into a more popular and understandable language for the general newspaper reader. |
