Networks - Joining Hands For A Better Tomorrow

DA believes in the power of multi-stakeholder partnerships and networks for creating large-scale impact for sustainable development. Networks enable collaborative behaviour between different organisations. Through our ability of convening, we facilitate such coalitions or provide the platforms for these organisations to function within a system. Communities, self-governing institutions, urban bodies, NGOs, multilateral and bilateral bodies, academic and research institutions, corporations etc are all a part of the broad network of The Development Alternatives Group.

We network to:
  • Gain knowledge of alternative practical solutions
  • Consolidate and disseminate knowledge about good practice and practical solutions
  • Provide contextual information for making relevant choices at the grassroots level
  • Empower network partners by sharing experiences
  • Leverage our strengths to bridge the gap between policy and practice and thereby influence the decision-makers
Our network includes:
  • ENVIS
  • 150 TARA Kendras
  • Approximately 300 TARA Akshar Centres
  • The Bundelkhand Knowledge Platform
  • TARA Karigar Mandal – around 100 members
  • 655 Community Based Organisations (CBOs) as a part of the PACS Network
  • Approximately 400 schools under the CLEAN-India Programme
  • 17 regional partners in basin-South Asia
  • Climate Action Network for South Asia (CANSA)
  • Green Economy Coalition

Additionally, DA is a member of the Regional and International Network Group (RING) Alliance Policy Research with 13 partners.
