A workshop on SOE was conducted on December 19, 2008, the report for which shall be released in February 2009.

l The Namakkal Project has been completed in December 2008. MPPL, a private entrepreneur and RERO, a local NGO are involved in this project, working for the benefit of poultry and agriculture farmers in this area

l The eco health project on Stone Crushing Units supported by IDRC in Jhansi has been succesfully completed

l The PACS Programme INTERIM project is coming to a close and has been granted no cost extension for a month. The report shall be sent to DFID in January 2009

l There is a need to initiate a joint working opportunity with the Indira Gandhi National Open University for certification of knowledge products

l The TARA Livelihood Academy conducted a three days training programme on Drinking Water Qualiity Management in New Delhi form 16- 18 Dec 2008.

l TARAhaat is developing an online and offline system to facilitate the examination of IT courses

l The total number of literates made through TARA Akshar has crossed 51000

The 3rd Sustainability Summit: Asia with the theme of ‘Competitiveness Redefined’ was conducted successfully as a joint partnership of DA and CII-ITC CESD on Dec 11-12 with over 350 participants from civil society, government, business and academia being a part of the Summit

l A training programme on content management for the Community Radio team at Radio Bundelkhand in TARAgram Orchha, was held by MAARA for UNESCO in December where more than 12 community reporters participated.

l The assessment of the communication exercise undertaken in the villages of Bundelkhand in Tikamgarh district under\ UNITAR project for communicating climate risk to rural communities has been completed and the analysis is being done.
