The Monsoon Mélange 2025 exhibition, organised by Access Development Services and Living Looms of India, celebrated the handmade treasures of India. Over three days, the event served as a vibrant marketplace for artisans, entrepreneurs, and buyers, promoting sustainable, environmentally friendly, and traditional handmade products.
The IMEDF SFURTI Labpur Banana Fibre Cluster participated in the event, showcasing innovative banana fibre products that combine sustainability with contemporary design. The cluster’s stall attracted attention from buyers and visitors interested in eco-conscious materials, highlighting the growing demand for green alternatives in lifestyle and fashion.
The exhibition featured a wide array of crafts, including wonder weaves, hand-block prints, appliqué work, handcrafted apparel, home décor, ceramic pottery, goat milk soaps, handmade beauty products, millet, and gourmet foods, among others. By bringing such diverse crafts under one roof, Monsoon Mélange 2025 provided artisans a direct interface with urban consumers and buyers.
For the Labpur Banana Fibre Cluster, the event served as an important platform to build brand recognition in the Delhi market while also networking with buyers, retailers, and consumers. It provided an opportunity to showcase the uniqueness of banana fibre as a sustainable craft material, highlighting its potential to appeal to conscious markets. At the same time, the cluster explored avenues for scaling production and diversifying into new product categories, laying the groundwork for future growth and wider market presence.
