The Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH) region is increasingly experiencing severe impacts of climate change, including frequent heatwaves, floods, droughts, landslides, and significant changes in snowfall, permafrost, and glacier loss. To address these challenges, Development Alternatives (DA) and the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) have formed a long-term partnership. They signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at ICIMOD’s headquarters in Kathmandu, Nepal, to work towards a sustainable future for the HKH region.

The ROUND TABLE on Water for Peace witnessed the participation of 30 water specialists (Corporates, Water Conservationists, Government officials, International Organisations and likeminded NGO’s) to deliberate on the looming water crises, innovations and policies that intend to enhance water security for the present and future.
